Sample Answer
What is Ultimate Reality?
The ultimate reality from a personal perspective and worldview entails searching for supreme or highest authority and entails fundamental power in all the reality, finality, and supreme power. It transcends both physical and non-physical dimensions of the world and presents the true state of things not as one wishes them to be but as they truly exist. Ultimate reality shapes a person’s view of what is right and wrong and answers the questions such as why one exists, their purpose, why they are the way they are, their goals and priorities. Personal ultimate reality is a product of my interaction with the environment, including the people I interact with, which has determined my development. My ultimate reality is founded on a Christian perspective of God as the supreme being and the creator. Moral foundations, personal goals, and priorities, and purpose are determined by what is termed as wrong or right in the scripture.
What is the nature of the Universe?
From a personal worldview and perspective, the nature of the Universe is strongly tied to ultimate reality. From a personal perspective, nature came to existence through the intervention of God the creator. The Universe has order and structure. It exists as God’s creation and its existence through word of mouth. The eternal purpose of the Universe is unfolded by the creator daily. Human plays a significant role in the Universe as they have dominion over the rest of the creation. There were created in the image of God. A human being entails the physical and spiritual. The Universe experiences constant changes since it was formed following a certain order, as an open system, and with clarity. Humans are at the center of the Universe; hence their actions through choices have significant and lasting consequences in areas such as energy conversion and extinction.
What is a Human Being?
As a human being, I am God’s creation and created in the image of God. The image of God refers to the likeness of God in terms of attributes such as having the ability to forgive, love others, possess knowledge and reason (Bogue & Hogan, 2020). A human being reflects the character of God. A human being enjoys having a personal relationship with God. Although humans lost their original dignity in the garden of Eden through disobedience, they can redeem themselves through Christ. Christ restores the image of God on human beings. Such has been possible through love, forgiveness, and the grace of God. Human beings choose to follow their path of choice, but they have to bear the consequences of every choice.
What is knowledge?
From a personal perspective, knowledge, which entails skills and facts, is acquired through knowledge and experience. It may be gained through informal or informal settings. The ability to access and retain knowledge is a gift from God. He determines how much should be revealed to humans. There is a limit to how much a human being can comprehend. According to a personal worldview, the level of knowledge is influenced by the learning opportunities available, exposure to the environment, and personal desire to acquire knowledge. Motivation is a key factor in enhancing knowledge. Other factors include goals, responsibilities, and outcomes.
What is your Basis of Ethics?
The personal basis of ethics is the nature of God based on the scriptures. The character of God is the basis of morality and the absolute truth. God is holy, and His attributes such as kindness, love, forgiveness, and compassion provide the absolute standard of ethics and morality for moral judgment (Bogue & Hogan, 2020). The basis of ethics has been shaped by environment and social interactions. However, I recognize that the basis of ethics may differ significantly; hence tolerance and respect are required for effective and healthy relationships with others. I do not possess any mandate to be the judge to others. My basis for ethics is love and compassion. Everyone has free will to follow a path of their choice. I can only share my basis of ethics with others.
What is the Purpose of your Existence?
The purpose of existence is deeply rooted in God’s purpose and will for His creation. The purpose of existence is clearly outlined in the scriptures and includes honoring religious responsibilities by caring for others, the environment, and others and honoring the commands. The purpose of existence also includes procreation, which will be achieved through marriage, bearing children, and taking care of the family. My purpose of existence also entails engaging in activities that not only generate good for myself but also for others. Reaching out to those that are less fortunate such as the homeless, is part of my plan.
