Like all papers youâ€™ll submit, formatting is: 1â€ margins all around, double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12-point font. No headers, extra spaces between paragraphs â€“ none of the little tricks that take up space.
There is a 5-page minimum, which I equate to an â€œaverageâ€ score, or a 3. If you want a better score, then do more than the minimum required work. I can tell when a student has done the work and when they have waited until the last minute to throw something together. Donâ€™t be in that latter group.
You must answer the following three questions:
Read Case 8-3 in your book and tell me the major facts and arguments in that case. What did the xfdo wrong? Research the law and tell me what a hotel in Nevada must do to avail itself of â€œlimited liabilityâ€ in connection with a guestâ€™s property. What monetary limitation applies in Nevada if a hotel follows the law completely? There is something unusual about Nevadaâ€™s lawâ€¦tell me what it is.
There are three types of â€œbailments.â€ Describe them in detail and give me an example of such a bailment (you may not use an example from the book). Specifically describe when a bailor has â€œliabilityâ€ for each type of â€œbailment.â€ What kinds of bailments have you been involved in over the past year (surely you can describe two or three).
What is the difference between an â€œinviteeâ€ and a â€œguest?â€ How does one become a â€œguestâ€ and what rights does a â€œguestâ€ have that â€œinviteesâ€ do not? What is the difference between a â€œguestâ€ and a â€œtenant?â€ How does one become a â€œtenantâ€ and what rights does a â€œtenantâ€ have that â€œguestsâ€ do not? What steps would a hotel have to go through to â€œevictâ€ 1) an invitee? 2) a guest? 3) a tenant?
