Draft PowerPoint Chapters One through Three
Use the Aspen University PowerPoint template found in the DNP Lounge under content and the following tab:
Create a PowerPoint with the main points of Chapters One through Three. Basically, create an outline for the three chapters. Each of the next couple of modules will build upon this outline.
**Note: You will build upon this outline in the next several modules as well as present a trial run of the presentation for your final assignment in this course. This PowerPoint, once complete, will be presented orally to your Project Committee in DNP851A.
Be sure to thoroughly cover the main points of Chapter One through Three. Include references slides to with any citations used.
Use the most current edition of the APA Manual to complete all you work in this course.
This week you will begin creating the DNP project proposal defense PowerPoint presentation that will serve as the foundation of your project proposal defense. In your defense, you need to clearly outline the plan and rationale for your project. The proposal is your statement of intent and should provide sufficient evidence to convince your dissertation committee that you have the knowledge, skills, and ability to successfully complete this project. Your defense should address the following questions:
What do you propose to develop?
Why is this project important and relevant?
How do you intend to perform the project?
When will you conduct the project?
Length: 14-22 slides; answers must thoroughly address the questions in a clear, concise manner.
Title slide and reference slides in APA style. (at least 2 slides)
Introduction to the Project (1-3 slides)
Background of the Project (2-5 slides)
Statement of the Project Rationale (1 slide)
Purpose of the Project (1 slide)
Theoretical Framework (2-5 slides)
How Does the Project Add to the Body of Knowledge in Nursing (1 slide)
Significance of the Project (1 slide)
Delimitations, Limitations, and Assumptions (1 slide)
Nature of the Project (1 slide)
Summary (1 slide)
Additionally, because a good presentation has few words on the slides include a script with the verbiage you would say when presenting; script should be a minimum of 50 words per slide.
References: Use the appropriate APA style in-slide citations and references for all resources utilized to answer the questions. Include at least ten (10) scholarly sources to support your claims.
Format: Save your assignment as a Microsoft PowerPoint document and a Word document (.pptx) and (.doc or .docx) or Open Office Impress.
File name: Name your saved file according to your first initial, last name, and the module number (for example, “RHall Module1.pptx”)
