When writing a capstone project change proposal, it is critical to locate credible sources of information to reduce the likelihood of utilizing material that has inaccurate information/data. The GCU library offers a variety of online scholarly databases to assist students with this research process, which ensures the authority and dependability of the scholarly material. Cochrane Library and PubMed are two databases provided by the GCU library form which credible information can be obtained. These two databases contain articles from health journals, books, continuing education modules, and Evidence-based practice care sheets, among other research materials. These databases are valuable because the content is peer-reviewed and backed up by actual research to assure its accuracy (Grand Canyon University, 2021).
Using Cochrane Library and PubMed provides a better way to locate accurate information than just using Google scholar or conducting a general internet search. A major advantage of using GCU’s databases is that the searches are organized, and you can enter in keywords, peer-review options, publication years, among other refined search options.
