Academic Year 2021/2022

This module will provide students with opportunity to develop and deepen their skills as mindfulness teachers, blending and enhancing the learning from Year 1 (modules 1-5). Particular emphasis will be on developing the skills of a mindfulness teacher as described in the MBI-TAC. Particular emphasis will be placed on skill acquisition as detailed in MBI-TAC and in the UK Guidelines for Mindfulness Teachers.

Learning Outcomes:

Deepening the students’ understanding of the MBSR/MBCT programmes in terms of intention, rationale, curriculum, structure, continuity and progression. Developing competence in the range of skills necessary to teach MBSR/MBCT as outlined in the MBI:TAC. Deepening understanding and knowledge of the MBI:TAC. Integration of the principles and practices of mindfulness in the students’ life experience and in the MBI class setting.
