Dissemination of EBP and Research
Dissemination of EBP and research is an essential part of professional practice. It helps to promote the spread of knowledge to healthcare professionals regarding evidence-based interventions which they can apply to ensure that the highest quality and most effective care is being delivered to patients and achieve positive patient outcomes (Jones, 2019). EBP and research can be disseminated to healthcare professionals in various ways. One of them is through professional journals. American Nurse Today is an example of a professional journal that consists valuable data, information, research findings, and insights from reliable experts from a broad array of nursing specialties. American Nurse Today is an appropriate professional journal I would use to present my project (American Nurse Today, 2019). One of the benefits of this journal is that it is a clinical, practical, and educational resource that can be used to present EBP and research to a wide range of nursing specialties, including nurse leaders. Secondly, it is a comprehensive and peer-reviewed journal whose information is assured to be accessed by all American Nurses Association (ANA) members and even globally, and also serves as the dynamic voice of nursing.
Nursing or health care conferences also provide an opportunity to learn about the latest breakthroughs and advancements in healthcare, from various sources, including research and EBP. I would use the International Conference on Nursing and Healthcare Research to present my project. This is an appropriate platform since it provides researchers, research scholars, practitioners, and academic scientists with a leading interdisciplinary platform to present and share their experiences and research results about the latest developments, trends, and concerns in nursing and healthcare (WASET, 2021).
