The issue of staffing shortages is very common, particularly in long-term acute care (Grabowski & Mor, .2020). In long term care facilities, change can be proposed and implemented concerning this issue. There’s a need to establish resources essential for a strategic plan to implement changes efficiently. Thus, it means numerous resources are required to be put in place to efficiently develop and implement change proposals. The following resources are necessary to implement a change proposal reducing the rate of staffing shortages in long-term acute Hospitals.

One significant EBP resource is staff time. This would be important when implementing a change proposal concerning staffing shortages. According to Van Os et al. (2019), time is a valuable resource essential to implement a change. It’s thus necessary to find and execute approaches for the professional development of the faculty and staff. An advantage associated with investments in professional development is that, when completed well, the individual’s elaborate are changed, despite if or not the funding persists. Another resource is appropriate leaders (Yue, Men & Ferguson., 2019). Selecting relevant task leaders like department chairs may be efficient in such a proposal. This is because every successful effort requires acknowledged leaders who can devote energy and time to move along collective effort.

In this case as well, multiple input sources and support can act as a significant EBP resource. Different groups improve more creative resolutions to the problems, and more expanded finance portfolios fare better over a long term. Embarking on multiple input sources and support eventually helps draw finances from different funding streams that may help implement staffing shortages change proposal (Aiello, Bonanno & Rossi.,2020). Besides, there’s an EBP resource of bridge funding. This remains efficient because internal and external bridge funding improves pilot programs and may be completed when discussing long-term support approaches for successful programs with the senior administration.
