Develop a coaching plan for an individual within an organization. Take into consideration the coach, individual, and organization relationship when constructing your plan. Your plan should include:
Responsibilities of coach and client (consider the logistics of the coaching arrangement, agendas, cell phones, etc.)
Boundaries of confidentiality you will set as the coach, with the client and organization or other stakeholders (communication in session and out of sessions, meeting time)
Cost of coaching.
A clarification of personal and professional goals of the coaching (the desired outcomes of the coaching)
A timeline to reach the goals of coach and client, including benchmarks for improvement.
Check-in points, which includes a self-reflection of what is working with the client and what is not working, how to adjust, checking in with client to see if they feel they are making progress.
Guidelines for leaving the coaching relationship (reflective questions, future goals, how will they use skills learned).

- Coach Client relationship
- The client will be fully responsible for cultivating their own emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. They are responsible for making their own decisions, choices, and taking actions that may originate from the coaching relationship. In this regard, the client agrees that the coach will not be responsible or liable in any way for inactions or actions or any indirect or direct results of the coaching service provided.
- The client understands that coaching is not therapy or a form of therapy and should never be used in curing, preventing, or treating any medical or mental condition.
- The client understands that coaching should never be used as a substitute for psychotherapy counseling, psychoanalysis substance abuse treatment, or any other form of professional medical advice. The client should take their responsibility to seek such guidance on their own. The client should also disclose to their mental healthcare provider of any coaching relationship they are involved in and reveal the extent of the coaching relationship to such professionals.
- Procedure
The client and coach will determine the location and times of coaching meetings based on mutual agreements. The coach will be charged with maintaining or scheduling calls and will contact the client promptly.
- Confidentiality
The coaching relationship and all the information that the client shares with the coach, both written and verbal, will be bound by confidentiality principles. The coach will agree never to reveal any information relating to the coaching relationship without written consent from the clients. The coach will also never reveal the client’s names as references without first obtaining the client’s contest.
- Cancellation Policy
The client can cancel scheduled meetings by notifying the coach 24 hours before the scheduled coaching sessions. The coach will reserve the right to reschedule the canceled meetings and bill the client accordingly.
- Record Retention Policy
To assure the client of confidentiality, the coach will not keep any notes relating to the session unless in cases where there may be an imminent risk of danger to the client.
- Termination
The coach or the clients may terminate this agreement by issuing a week of written notice. The client will be obliged to apply for the coaching services offered until the effective date of termination of the coaching relationship.
